I used 3 different types of paper. Printer paper, brown paper, newspaper. I think printer paper be the best ones to be used in growing plants because it is not recycled at all. Therefore, it has not been touched by harmful products and has been processed.

Newspaper: is made of recycled fiber and wood pulp Brown paper is made up of longer fibers and is usually not bleached or heavily inked. Printer paper is made of high quality fibers. since printer paper has better fibers it will be able to retain better moisture and hence have better plant growth.

According to research 400 million tons of paper is produced each year world wide, of which 46 million tons of paper and paperboard is produced in America. Of all the paper produced in America almost 17.2 million tons end up in landfill. That means 26% of all landfill waste. Also, 70% of total office waste is paper waste.

First I will make seed paper 
1. take different type of paper
2. soak the paper
3. blend each different type of paper until pulp
4. strain the paper
5. add seeds (coriander)
6. dry the paper 
7. plant the paper into soil
8. observe the seeds growth over time to see which paper is best used in planting

I observed the plants growth over the one month time frame. 
I documented the height of each plant as it grew
The newspaper pots: pot #1 started to grow on day 3, pot #2 , pot #3 have any growth
brown paper: Pot#1 started growth on day 3 but it died earlier off in the experiment, Pot #2 didn't show any growth, pot #3: started to grow on day 8 and had small growth
the printer paper: pot#1and pot#2 started to grow on day 8 and showed goo growth, pot #3 show growth on day 4 and was the tallest plant at the end

I measure the height of each different type of seed paper plant over a one month time frame. Then l compared the height of all the plants to study which type of paper was best to be used for planting By comparing the growth of different plants it was concluded printer paper was the best to be used in planting because it showed growth in all 4 plants with one producing the highest plant at the end of the experiment. Also, because all the pots with paper showed growth it means that this experiment is able to reproduced similar results again and again.

I compared the heights of all the plants to determine the best type of paper for seed newspaper: had the tallest pant but it did not show growth in 2/3 of its pots, therefore newspaper was not a good choice for growth of plants brown paper: had the smallest plant and only produced 1/3 pots, therefore brown paper was also not a good choice for growth of plants printer paper: had growth in all 3 pots and were good height. The printer paper pots showed good growth and reproducability, therefore, the printer paper is the best choice to use for plant growth

Paper waste is major environmental concern. The worlds currently uses 400 million tons of paper per year, of which 26% ends up in land fill. 70 % office waste consists of printer paper. When paper is deposited into landfill, it releases greenhouse gases such as methane and carbon dioxide. By studying the different types of paper we can determine which type of paper can be used in plant growth to reduce paper waste in landfill. Given the printer paper being the best at being used it plants, by using printer paper we can reduced the amount of office waste that goes to landfill.

error#1: was the amount of water given to each plant was not measured, some plants got more water than others sometimes error#2: some days the plants did not get enough sunlight due to cloudy weather
