Battle Against the Blaze: eco-friendly wildfire extinguisher

My project is about an eco-friendly extinguisher, I compare different natural substances and how they react to the fire and the land.

Problem

The problem that my project is working to fix is that when firefighters across the world put out fires with the aerial retardant, it is not environmental. The retardants are so heavy and artificial that nothing natural is able to grow. This problem can lead to deforestation, hurt the habitat and shelter of animals.

Method

The method of this project is that first I will be observing how extinguishers bio degradation rates are and how well the extinguisher works on the fire, and soil chemistry. For the soil chemistry I will notice how the soil is reacting with the extinguisher. As for the bio degradation rates I will see how the plantation is improving or decreasing the levels of health. For the fire I will observe if the fire is extinguished, still on fire or leaving room for sparks or heat. Lastly I will time how long the extinguisher takes to properly extinguish the fire. (Retardants line performance).

Analysis

For my project I noticed that the the sand was absorbing into the trunk base and into the soil. The bone meal was starting to break down with the soil and help fertilize the seeds. I noticed this because some grains of the bone meal were closer to the oat grass seeds than other. The closer seeds where growing faster. The Ph was staying between the 8-6 and the temperature was between 17C-19C. The moisture stayed in the high fifties and low eighties.

Conclusion

With my results I think that my extinguisher was a successful experiment. This can support my experiment by knowing that the trees were not harmed and the soil was not affected. This means that the trees can continue to grow and so will the seeds. The bar graph showed a small increase in moisture and Ph, this can show that the soil is gathering the nutrients and using them to stay healthy. Finally, the physical tree was in great shape, the Summer and Spring were restoring their green crowns. Autumn was doing the same thing but moving slowly. I think that fire fighters should consider using my extinguisher because my research and experiment showed that it does work.
