Lately, there has been more pollution and global warming across the globe. This is caused by human activities such as releasing greenhouse gases, dumping garbage into nature, noise pollution, and deforestation. The world is in dire need of ways to reduce the amount of pollution across the globe. Therefore, I have thought of the solar panel car. I do know that it is a concept currently being discussed, and I would to elaborate on this. With multiple, strong solar panels on a vehicle, the car would run on clean, electric energy without the need of a loud and pollution- releasing engines.

First, I researched how a solar panel car works. Usually the solar panel cars use self-contained solar cells to provide full or partial power to the vehicle via sunlight. Then I studied the problems of the car which include:

• Solar energy is not available at night, rain/stormy days and cloudy days. We can use electricity storage instead of solar on those days/nights.
• Solar equipment is very expensive.
• Solar cells are not very efficient, and the collector areas are too big for consumer cars.

Finally, I put all of the research onto the tri-fold and double checked if all research is on it.

A solar paneled car is a very special type of electric vehicle that gets its electricity from the sun! These cars have solar cells built into them that turn sunlight into electricity. This generated electricity powers the car, either fully or partially. Solar cars also usually have a rechargeable battery. This battery stores energy from the solar cells and from regenerative braking, which means the car recharges a little when it slows down. Some solar cars can even be plugged in to charge their batteries from other power sources. We can use rechargeable batteries to run them at night and cloudy days.

• The solarmoves project recently did a 1 million kilometer test across Europe to determine the real world potential of solar integrated vehicles. The study confirmed while rooftop solar panels are twice as effective as side-mounted ones, solar energy can still provide up to 50% of a car’s annual power in southern europe and 35% in central europe.
• Researchers from Fraunhofer ISE and TNO noted that “shading” from buildings and trees remains a major hurdle, requiring more precise route based modeling to accurately predict energy yield. 
• Backed by the European commission, the project will now expand its testing Southern and Eastern through 2025 to gather more seasonal data before releasing a final strategy for solar powered in 2026.

As for the conclusion, the many benefits for this car is that it reduces pollution because it doesn't use fossil fuels like oil. On top of that solar powered cars use solar cells which means it charges for free and solar energy will never run out.
