ADHD Brain parts

The limbic system is found farther back in the brain. It controls:

3.  Basal Ganglia

  • The basal ganglia Controls the interior of your brain.  It controls if you decide to move a part of your body and if you had  a problem in that area of your brain it could mean that it could Short Circuit and it would mean you would have problems moving your parts of your body.

4. Reticular Activating System

This part of the brain is a major relay system in the brain ( it is like a big train station in your brain) all of the pathways. interview with specialist

Is PMS worse for people with ADHD

Yes

PMS comes with so many different hormonal changes that it can make people with ADHD struggle a bit more with staying focused or trying to stay still in class.

Does the menstrual cycle hormone change make it easier or harder to deal with stress

Yes

I can make it harder because you are probably not feeling the same and When you don't have your period. Your stress and Anxiety can go up and down, up and down.

when the menstrual cycle happen do people find fidgets helpful at different times in their cycle

Can depend on what people find fidgets helpful for. fidgets are for to help regulate yourself,  and keep yourself on task.

How does the test look if it’s like a 20 year old woman or like a 13-year-old girl?

Yes

It can look different for most people because  everybody's different so if you're a 20 year old woman the professional won't be asking you if you are good staying focused when the teacher is teaching you math,  that would more go with a 13 year old girl but a 20-year-old  woman.  it would be like are you good staying focused at work when you're in a meeting.

Is there a certain age that it’s easier to diagnose ADHD?

Yes

Two different types of ADHD (well technically there's three but there are two main ones) Inattentive and hyperactive  ADHD those are the two main ones.

Between the age of 13 and 16 what age do most people get diagnosed with ADHD

*looked this one up*

13 - 14 it is most likely for ADHD to be found. Going to grade 7 it is different cuz you have the responsibility to do it on your own.

Is it easier to diagnose ADHD if they're younger or older?

Usually easier when they're younger because it won't be like oh this person's jumping off the tables and not sitting still during class and University,  but when they're younger it will kind of be a little bit more normal to see that during class.  that is like the hyperactive one and then the other one Inattentive is there anywhere it could be older or younger.

Which type of ADHD is most common

Boys: Hyperactivate ADHD

Girls: Inattentive

But the most Woman is hyperactive - inattentive/  combined ADHD
