Research

My reserch is presented in the form of questions and answers, What are earthquakes?: Earthquakes are a shaking of the ground when two of the earth's plates get cougt on each other. Earthquakes can get so big that they can crack roads and bring down buildings but most of them are so small that we can bearly even feel them and if we can feel them they are not very strong. How do earthquakes happen?: Earthquakes happen when two of the earth's plates, on the earth's crust are sliding past each other and they get stuck on each other's ridged edgis while they are still moving away from each other. the questions that I answer are: what are earthquakes, How do they happen, how are they recorded, what to do in case of an earthquake and can seismologist's tell when an earthquakes will happen.

Data

Conclusion

In conclusion earthquakes can be very dangerous but most are not very strong, the place under the earth's surface where the earthquake starts is called the hypocenter and the place directly obve it on the earth's surface is called the epicenter. Some earthquakes have foreshocks and all of them have mainshocks and aftershocks. Earthquakes can't happen in Calgary because we are not on a fault ligne but if you go somewhere else and there is an earthquake don't forget to drop, cover and hold on!
