If stain remover is meant for stains on clothes, then it will work the most effective cleaning agent because it is made to clean stains, and leaving it on overnight will make it even more effective in cleaning compared to the detergents and dawn dish soap.

Dawn dish soap removes up to 99% of grease and food residue and is the most recommended.

  Yes dawn dish soap is good for removing impossible stains like grease stains and food stains.

Ketchup ingredients tomato, vinagard, sugar, salt and spices.

Types of fabrics: It's really important to know that it matters on what type of fabric. For example polyester,is the easiest because the fabric is resistant to damage during cleaning.

    Second easiest is cotton,as long   as you clean it faster so that it won't be harder to clean.

The hardest is silk, because the fabric is very delicate.

Our independent variables are 

Dawn dish soap, Sunlight detergent, Tide detergent

Tide stain remover.

      Our dependent Variable is 

      The colour of the stain remaining on the cloth.

     Our controlled Variables are 

 Bowls we used, temperature of water, amount of water, amount cleaning agent, type of cloth (Cotton), 

1. Cut a t-shirt into 5x5s.
2. Squirt an equal amount of ketchup on each cloth.
3. Lightly smear the ketchup with a spoon.
4. Let it sit overnight to dry.
5. Once dry prepare boiled water and bowls .
6. Pour the water into bowls as with the cleaning agents.
7. Mix with a wix for 2 mins
8. Leave it overnight again.
9. Take the cloth out of the bowl and let it dry for 2-1 hour.
10. Check results. 

• Tide:
• There were a bunch of ketchup chunks and a majority of them that were big sunk to the bottom of the bowl, as most of the small ones were still floating around. The water was murky and seemed a little black , it also smelt the best it really cancelled out the vinegar of the ketchup.

• Sunlight
• Sunlight detergent

The sunlight did really well because it took off all the ketchup in the centre of the cloth and the stain was a light orange.The sunlight took of a lot of the ketchup chunks.

-Dawn dish soap

- The cloth had a lot of ketchup still on the cloth.  The water was blue and a black tint as well the water had barely any ketchup chunks.

Stain remover

• The stain remover did really bad , the stain was dark and  the water was tinted light red. There were many ketchup chunks still on the cloth.

We took a colour scale withthe stain colours and turned it to a grey scale and then we printed our stains in black and white as it was more accurate to compare a black and white scale to the stain. From there we assigned a number to each section of the grey scale with 1 being the least amount of stain and 10 being the most amount of stain. 

Our conclusion is that Sunlight detergent did the best because it focused mostly on one part of the cloth and cleaned of all the grease from the ketchup as with most of the chunks

The reason why we picked this project is because we wanted to know which cleaning agents will remove the stain the fastes.

Something that could have gone worng in our project was the fact we had both used cotton but they were not the same shirt meaning it could have messed up resuluts.
