Problem

Depending on the individauls experiences and culture how they receate to, a color would vary. It can also depend on the historical time period. You can use color to understand relegions of the past and present.

Method

I research colors and there emotions, and sub questions like How do other cultures see colors and Do experiences change your perseptive of colors. Then I would request students to stare at a color for 90s. Then analyzes the data.

Research

Red - symbolizes anger, rage the term I’m seeing red, means how angry your feeling is. Red symbolizes anger, sacrifice, danger, courage, passion, love.

Blue - symbolizes sadness, the term I’m feeling blue, means how sad you feel. Blue symbolizes sadness, calm, sensitivity, stability, serenity

Yellow - symbolizes happiness, joy, energy joy happiness, friendship, jealousy, betrayal

Orange - symbolizes Change and Movement, it reminds people of fall and change from summer to winter.

Green - symbolizes Rebirth, Renewal, Immortality and Disgust. Leaves most of the time start off as green, but they change colors, as they are getting closer to death, but they grow back on the tree.

Purple - symbolizes Royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition, the color Purple was very much associated with, with power as in the olden days it cost very much time and money to dye the silks. Hence the wealthy wore this color to symbolize their statuses.

Pink - symbolizes Love, Nurture and Compassion.

When you see certain colors why do you feel certain emotions?

Our memory is shaped by certain experiences, our brain asserts different emotions to it.

Do Humans see colors differently?

Women and men see colors differently, women can perceive warm colors better and men can perceive poor contrast and rapid movement. People see colors slightly differently.

Do the experiences you face change your perception of color, and what emotion you associate with them?

Different colors cause different emotions, from different experiences for people.

The Primary colors Red, Blue and Yellow are most commonly associated with Anger, Sadness and Happiness, does that mean that the secondary colors, like Orange, Purple and Green, are a mix of emotion or their own.

Orange: Change and Movement

Purple: Royalty, nobility, luxury, power, and ambition

Green: Rebirth, renewal, immortality and Disgust

Secondary colors are their own colors; they are not a mix of emotions.

Pink: Love, Nature, Compassion

How do other cultures see colors?

Other cultures see colors very differently, an example of this is the color red. In western countries red is seen as passion, danger, excitement, in India red is seen as purity. Your society can be the cause of how you see colors.

Conclusion
