Problem
What type of chemicals affect the structure of DNA?
Method
Several biological processes which affect behavioral systems, including as DNA methylation, histone codes, and miRNA expression, can be changed by chemicals from the environment. These changes may then affect gene activity, cell condensation and organization, and disease risk.
Research
While chemicals break down chemical connections in DNA, the metabolism releases substances that harm DNA, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species, reactive carbon species, lipid peroxidation products, and alkylating agents.
Data
While chemicals break down chemical connections in DNA, the metabolism releases substances that harm DNA, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species, reactive carbon species, lipid peroxidation products, and alkylating agents.
Conclusion
In conclusion, our research has shown that the following chemical kinds have an impact on DNA structure: lipid oxidation products, alkylating agents, reactive oxygen species (ROS), reactive nitrogen species, and reactive carbon species. These substances damage the structure of DNA by breaking chemical connections that release metabolism.
