Problem
We were trying to research the different types of hair and how to take care of the different types of hair by washing.
Method
Content creators online talk about hair and it was an inspiration. We wanted to help people learn about hair, and how to take care of it, no matter the hair type. We wanted people to learn and feel good about their hair have.
Research
Porosity is the amount of moisture that your hair can absorb. Hair type plays a big role on how your hair porosity is. Adding heat, the weather, environment, and straightening your hair is also part of your hair porosity.
Low hair porosity is when your hair does not allow a lot of moisture to come into the strand. This will make your hair harder for water to saturate when you wash your hair. Since low porosity hair is hard to saturate, it would be hard to style your hair and process. Technically your hair has a bunch of dead cells in your hair strands. Cuticles in your hair would tend to overlap each other. Since there's barely any space between the cuticles, the water doesn't have a lot of space to get through. Washing and drying your hair takes longer to do and products sit on top of your hair because of the cuticles.
Medium hair porosity is healthier than low and high porosity hair. The cuticles are spaced out enough and the products you put on your hair do not sit on top. You can ruin this bThis hair type (2B) is similar to 2A but this one has more waves. The waves start from mid-point to the bottom. You can see a formed (s) shape! You can get a beachy vibe with this hair but it is hard to straighten.y adding heat, bleaching or colouring your hair. The cuticles can get messed up. It is POSSIBLE for your hair porosity to change back if taken care right.
High hair porosity cuticles are spreaded way too far apart and will absorb way too much water and the products will soak in too much. Your hair could break easily, it tends to be frizzy and dry, and doesn't take too long to air dry. You can fix this by looking for products that contain ingredients like butter and oils in the shampoo and conditioner. Using heat protectant on your hair is also another great way to keep your hair healthy and avoid hot water because then there's no point in the heat protectant.
Hair type one is straight. Straight up straight. It will be easier to notice growth in your hair. It will also tend to make it glossier or shinier. With the right products, you can make it happen. Straight hair also means no natural curls to be seen. To make curls or waves, you can use a curling iron or heatless curls. Normal shampoo and conditioner is fine but you can add a hair mask for your hair type too!
2A hair has a slight wave but isn't crazy wavy. If you keep these curls, you NOT use oiled base and creamy products . They may kill (ruin) your waves and your hair may not be healthy. Boost your waves by adding a light amount of mousse or you can use gel to define your curls. From roots to eye level, your hair is straight, but down from there are slight waves.
You can really see the (s) waves with this one. This hair tends to get frizzy a lot and this hair is commonly thick. 2C hair also has the most waves out of 2A and 2B but isn't as curly as 3A, B, and C. These waves start from roots to end!
3A hair has (s) waves to curls depending on how curly your 3A hair is. Frizz can be caused by brushing through the curls. You can brush the hair when it is wet and when it’s wet, that's when you would mostly put your products in. Products can be used for the curls to stay. Putting your hair up like in a ponytail or bun can cause thinning to the strands and can loosen the curls as well.
3Bs curls are a lot bigger than the 3A ones. They are a spiral ringlet. Fizz is common with these curls. 3B is really similar. These curls are from roots to the tip of your hair. Your hair would have lots of volume and 3B would usually need lots of moisture.
3c curls are tight and springy. Combing can lead to lots of frizz so to contain that, put in leave-in conditioner in your hair by raking it in with your fingers while your hair is wet so it won’t ruin the curls.
The 4 section in hair type are so coily and can look frizzy naturally. Type 4 hair is very delicate and needs a lot of moisture. Products to use can be like conditioner masks, butters, and creams are some good options to put in this hair. 4B is like zig-zags while 4C are coils. It is easy to break the curls by combing too often roughley in your hair. Type 4 hair is probably the hardest to contain out of all the hair types.
Dandruff is a very normal or common condition that makes the skin on your head/scalp flake. It isn’t contagious or serious but it could be tricky to take care of. It could be taken care of with gentle shampoo or if more serious use special shampoos designated for getting rid of dandruff. Some reasons why people have dandruff is because their skin is irritated and/or oily, dry skin, a fungus called Malassezia {Maaaaaaaaaaaaaaa la see see a} that eats oil from your head, irritation from hair products or other skin conditions like eczema or psoriasis.{Sur ry a sis}
Build up can happen from many reasons like sebum, accumulates alongside sweat, hair products, and dead skin cells on the scalp. Symptoms to seborrheic dermatitis, scalp psoriasis, and eczema. For example, each of these conditions can make flakes appear in the hair+scalp which may lead to scalp build up. Scalp build up can cause itchiness, oily or crusty skin, scaly patches, skin redness or discoloration. Some products that can lead to buildup are conditioners, styling creams or gels, shampoos, ointment soils and foams! Substances that humans naturally produce that cause build up are sweat, sebum(which the body makes to soften the skin and hair), and dead skin cells.
Data
Conclusion
All hair types have their own special of being taken care of. The hair porosity depends on a person's hair type. How a person's cleanliness is will determine how much dandruff a person might have. Medium hair porosity is the healthiest hair because it has a good balance of wet and dry and lets hair products soak in and not letting all of it out.
