Hypothesis

Milk will grow a lot I feel like because it has protein and nutrients. Also i feel like water will also grow a plant o lot because it has oxygen and hydrogen

Research

Plants grow through cell division and enlargement in special regions called meristems, found at the tips of roots and shoots. In these areas, cells divide to produce new cells, which then expand by absorbing water and eventually specialize into different types of plant tissues. Growth depends on photosynthesis, the process by which plants use sunlight, water, and carbon dioxide to make glucose (sugar) in their leaves. This sugar provides the energy and building materials needed for cell division, enlargement, and overall plant development.

Variables

CONTROL VARIABLE:

  • What  type of plant
  • The liquids used
  • The cups used
  • How long i keed the plants in the cups

MANIPULATED VARIABLE:

  • The types of materials used

RESPONDING  VARIABLE:

  • How much the plants grow

Procedure

1:Get 4 Similar clear plastic cups. 2:Get similar sunflower seeds(2 for each cup) 3:Put soil in each cup. 4:Put 2 seeds in each cup. 5:Put the specific things in each cup  6:Wait for finishing results

Observations

Surprisingly none of the plants grew, I think giving plants milk kills it. Maybe milk is not what a plant needs, Next time i will try to use other liquids

Analysis

Surprisingly it hasn't grown yet. Its growing some mold over all not growing. Growing lots of mold and not growing at all. Im seeing roots some mold and starting to grow i believe.
Starting to grow. Growing more mold so far. Growing way more mold than last time and i believe it's starting to grow. Growing decently, 45% more than water milk and fertilizer
Needs time to grow, hasn't grown yet Growing mold which kills the plant No progress at all. I saw a sprout but after the milk it died
 Water+Fertilizer Water+Milk+Fertilizer Milk+Fertilizer Water+Milk

Conclusion

At the start of the experiment, I thought that milk and water would help the sunflower seeds grow the most. However, after two weeks, only the seed watered with plain water grew. The seeds given milk, detergent water, vinegar, and Sprite did not grow. This shows that water is the best liquid for sunflower seed growth, and other liquids can stop or slow down plant growth

Application

This experiment can help people know whether using other liquids than water would make a plant grow faster. Because if that is true maybe in the future scientists,Gardeners and farmers can use other liquids than water.

Sources Of Error

Even after 13 days i still didn't see growth at all in any of the plants. So i thought i was doing it wrong i was really confused, I think adding milk kills the plant
