SeaWolf AUV/ROV

An autonomous underwater rover that can explore underwater without human input. The goal is to minimize size and cost while being more effective. It will be tested inside a filled fish tank and given the goal to grab an object at the bottom and return it.

Problem

Scientific equipment for exploring underwater is really expensive.

Method

We could solve this by creating a cheaper, useful and small drone for exploration. With the ability to add new attachments for specific reasearch it would be able to deploy in fleets for cheaper and research the same as a standard ROV.

We thank all the people who donated their bottles to us in the countless bottle drives we have done for this project.

We would also like to thank Charlie O. (Cave Rover project) and our Mrs.Walter for helping us 3d print the components for our project, the help was greatly appreciated.

Furthermore, I would like to thank Nathan T.'s mom for helping us purchase (on loan) most of our components and Leon C.'s dad for letting us borrow his tools.

And finally, we thank everybody that supported us in some way.

Oh and UoA's AI submarine was cool.

Oh and (2) this project takes "blood, sweat, and tears" very literaly.
